First, the update:
- Write 30 minutes a day: I did something yesterday that I haven’t done in some time: I wrote a story, or at least 90% of a first draft of one. It’s pretty rough, and I know it’s missing a lot and some parts have to be changed. But it was 4000+ words and took me over 3 hours, meaning I got my writing in for the week yesterday. Be nice if I spread it out over the whole week, but I’ll take it.
- Read 30 minutes a day: Not quite 30 minutes a day, but I continued reading West of Western on Monday and got about 90 minutes in. So 42.9% done.
- Clean my office: I think I’m going about this the wrong way because it’s worse than it had been. Maybe it’ll get clean if I make this “Make a huge mess of my office.”
Nothing to report on the disability front, where I’ve been promised that I’ll see something by maybe April. Maybe sooner, maybe later.
The closer I get to getting the website up, the more I ask myself, “Is this really what you want to do?” I wonder if the time I spend creating the wbsite might not be better used doing something else, like writing. I guess there’s only one way to find out, isn’t there?
Best of luck this coming week. Until next week, straight ahead.
I cleaned my office up around New Year’s and it’s still looking good . . . except for several far-too-quickly growing piles of stuff to-do. Kudos on getting some real writing done, even if it came all on one day. May the week ahead bring you more words!

The real writing keeps coming. The more I write lately, the more I want to write. Have a good week!

Meeting your writing goal for an entire week in one day? Oh, how I envy you! And I don’t even want to think about cleaning my office, although the stacks of papers are getting perilously high.
Have a great week!

Sometimes I’m afraid to throw paper out because I’m worried that, the minute I throw a paper out out, I’ll need it. I should get a scanner and scan eveything, then throw it away immediately.

Awesome work on the story! I have weeks like that, too, where I just don’t get to the writing at all–too tired, too busy, or just don’t feel like it–then on Saturday I blow through the whole goal. LOL @ “making your office messier”–good luck with it, and have a great week!

As I mentioned in my latest update, I did manage to make my office messier. So much for reverse psychology…
