This week’s Friday Five:
TV Shows With Numbers in the Title
77 Sunset Strip
Surfside 6
Route 66
Adam-12
Car 54, Where Are You?
I know there are lots of other shows, but these are the five I wanted to share.
What’s your favorite TV show with a number in the title?
I used to enjoy One Step Beyond. I wonder if that one can still be seen anywhere. Do you recall that show? It was a great deal like Twilight Zone.

WGN in Chicago used to show The Twilight Zone, One Step Beyond, Science Fiction Theater, and The Outer Limits back in the Sixties. Don’t know if anyone shows them now, though. I do see Alfred Hitchcock Presents occasionally, though.

Oh man, I’ve never even heard of any of these before! I think my favorite TV show with a number would have to be Reno 911! or maybe 3rd Rock From the Sun.

These are definite oldies. The newest one is “Adam-12,” and that came out in the late 1960’s or early 1970’s.
Never watched Reno 911, but always wanted to know the deal with the guy in hot pants…

I can’t think of a favorite tv show with a number in it, but I can throw Three’s Company up here to add to the list. ;-)

I remember liking a show called Room 222 back in the early 70s. It was about a high school. Kinda like a Boston Public circa 1970. Do you remember that show? Good ones that you shared!

I remember it well. It was a Friday fixture while I was in high school. Funny, because it was a show about school.

I was a big “24” fan with Kiefer Sutherland. Never missed an episode.

That was one of those where, unless you watched every episode in order, you were completely and hopelessly lost. I tried watching one or two episodes when I was in the hospital, and while it was well done and the stars of the show did a fantastic job, I couldn’t follow it. Of course, that was shortly after my brain exploded….
