        1. It was like Crisco, wasn’t it? We didn’t have it where we shopped as kids. Believe me, I’d remember a name like Fluffo. Knowing me, I’d confuse it with Marshmallow Fluff and try to make a Fluffernutter with it…

  1. That is too funny and I really don’t understand why the weather people place themselves in harm’s way. I almost think that they are told they must do this by the higher ups. I am thinking some of these weather men are saying these ridiculous comments so that they can finally be safe. They do receive a paycheque and are the employee so that’s why I am thinking the executroids tell the, to do this for ratings

    1. I think the higher-ups offer them battle pay to do those dangerous things, with the understanding that “you knew the job was dangerous when you took it.” For my money, I don’t want to see them get hurt.

  2. They could set up remote-controlled cameras and show the scenes where the cameras weren’t destroyed by the hurricanes. When I see them able to stand and more or less reasonably talk in that weather, I think it looks pretty safe to me.

    1. So do I. Jim Cantore’s wife has MS, I think, and she’s going to need for him to stick around. The YouTube Channel News Be Funny has at least one video clip in each of their collections of someone being drenched by a huge wave or nearly blown away by the wind. I hope they’re examples of news people who have that happen and are able to get back up…
