BATTLE OF THE BANDS: “Love Of The Common People” Results

To recap: This battle was between The Everly Brothers and Waylon Jennings, who both recorded the song “Love Of The Common People” in 1967. I received the last vote just seconds ago; here are the results.

The Everly Brothers: 6
Waylon Jennings: 9

Congratulations to Waylon Jennings and a pat on the back to Don and Phil Everly for making this one so close.

I guess we’re going to a once-a-month schedule, so I’ll see you back here on October 15 for the next Battle of the Bands.

  1. Well, that was a reasonable outcome.
I’m still planning a Battle for the first, but after October I might scale back as well depending on the responses I receive and whether or not others participate in the 2 a month schedule.

  2. Was my vote the one that came in right at the last second? I hope so. Glad Waylon won but like I said, the Everly Brothers was an equally pleasing version. Have a good weekend,

  3. I think a couple of people are doing 2 battles a month. Anyway, I was bad this month for visiting everyone and hope to still visit even though my vote won’t count. I chose The Everly Bros.
