Weird Spam #1LinerWeds

I’ve been getting some very weird spam comments lately. They appear to be coming from a Korean cartoon site. Two in particular are especially interesting…

The first appears to be a non-English speaker attempting his or her hand at poetry in English. Maybe if I were to take the original Korean to someone who speaks the language they would be able to provide a more idiomatic translation. As for the second, I doubt if I were to get a ticket for not wearing my seat belt and told the judge I was afraid of drowning in my own urine that I could avoid paying the fine. On the other hand, it is in the form of a question, so maybe he or she is asking that themselves. I don’t know.

  1. How strange. As a WP user, I may or may not be getting these. I had a coworker help me set up an auto delete rule for spam. Problem is that some items marked and sent to spam aren’t really spam. Oh well 😉

    1. I don’t have anything that fancy. I just go out
and delete whatever’s there, minus anything that’s actually a real comment and not an ad for a Canadian pharmacy or a cautionary message about wearing your seat belt.

  2. No, I haven’t gotten those you mentioned…nothing that funny! Mostly ads for shoes, deodorant, and Viagra –haha! Oh, one said they noticed I don’t update my blog very often, and they could help. mmm hmm right! Guess several times a day isn’t very often?

    1. Oh, I always have people wanting to help me fill up my blog and who send me a whole block of text telling me I’m doing SEO all wrong and how their tool could fix it all. I’ve only been getting those spam comments lately.

  3. I get both of those A LOT! The first one is part of the lyrics of a rap song. I don’t know where the second one came from, but people with less vigorous anti-spam filters or who don’t cull spam have it in their comments. Yeah, I search some of my spam to see where it comes from. Sometimes I find it and sometimes I don’t. If you’re on Facebook, search for Spomment of the Day, a page I set up to mock my spam.

    1. I get a bunch in Thai. I have no clue as to why. I get my share of Canadian pharmacies, people peddling Viagra and Cialis, and more than my share of porn. I check it whenever there’s something in the spam folder, because occasionally it throws away a legitimate comment. That happens maybe once a month…

  4. Oh my…they are just beyond weird…but oddly funny. It reminds me of what a loon once said to someone who worked at RadioShack which was a few years back. The loon was talking to the sales person about people when he said something like this….”it’s like bathing in the magic pools behind mother’s Gooses’ castle.” Yup…I hope I recalled that right. A lot of strange people who came into Radio Shack

    1. I had a couple of friends were always running to Radio Shack for small electronic parts, which was their specialty at one time. They got a little too far from that and that’s when the place started to tank. And yeah, they had a rather interesting clientele.
