#1LinerWeds From Me #JusJoJan

I used this line in a comment the other day, and liked it so much I thought I’d share.

One-Liner Wednesday is brought to you each week by Linda Hill and this station. Now a word about Maxwell House coffee. Good to the last drop, it tastes as good as it smells, every time!

This is also an entry into Linda’s Just Jot It January!

  1. Agree! And I’m thankful for all those musical stories out there.

I’ve never drank percolated coffee but I remember my grandma’s pot.

      1. I re-read that and thought I’d have to explain … it was for medicinal purposes 🙂 but no it was her coffee pot. I remember the bubbles in the top part. I want to try percolated. I have some Amazon points to use up too.

    1. When we first got married, we had a stovetop percolator, then we got an electric one. After I-lost-count-of-how-many drip makers, Mary finally said “let’s get another percolator.” I’m glad we did.

  2. I feel the same way about songs, that stories exist in every one if you are willing to dig into them. I used to love percolated coffee and I always thought it tasted better than drip coffee.

    1. Percolated coffee is better than drip for certain. The bitter taste that sometimes accompanies drip goes away with perked. And the percolators last forever, unlike the drip makers.

    1. I grew up with perked coffee made on the stove, and when we got married we had a stovetop coffee pot. The only thing is you have to remember to turn off the burner, which we weren’t good at…

    1. I know why, too. Mary and I bought ourselves an electric percolator that looks a littkle more “modern” than the one in the commercial, but the effect is still the same. We love it, and it makes great coffee.
