Time once again for Laura Venturini’s Weekly Song Challenge! Here, as always, are the rules:
- Copy rules and add to your own post, pinging back to this post.
- Post music videos for your answers to the musical questions.
- Tag two people to participate!
Post a video of a song that makes you think of the true meaning of Memorial Day. Memorial Day is a day on which we honor the men and women who were killed in action. Thus, Johnny Cash, “Route 1, Box 144.”
Post a video of a song that has the word war in title or lyrics. You have to wait until the end for the word “war,” but: Robert Cray, “The Grinder.”
Post a video of a song that is part of a movie soundtrack that had something to do with war. If I’m reading this right, we want a song from a war movie. Though it’s a bit of a stretch, from the 1964 movie Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, Vera Lynn, “We’ll Meet Again.”
Tag two people…. okay, YOU and YOU! Seriously, if you want to play, grab the badge and follow the rules.
