This edition of The Week That Was is brought to youy by Hasbro, makers of Terron, The Beast From Beyond!
Most governments and some businesses have a fiscal year that starts July 1 and ends June 30. Today, therefore, is the end of FY 2019 and tomorrow is the start of FY 2020 for them. If you’re affected by this, Happy New Year’s Eve! Here’s the summary for last week.
The prompt of “Cards/Dice/Gamble/Lose/Win” was a good excuse to play Sade’s “Your Love Is King.”
Last Monday was the annual “Create A Summer Playlist” week for M4, and I surprised myself by finding ten songs I hadn’t used before.
Round 19 went as well as the other rounds did, with songs by Brownsville Station, Fairly Oddparents, and Marvin Gaye.
Chieli Minucci and Special EFX, who I swear must be one and the same, were the featured artists.
People seemed to really enjoy my one-liner, and several people said they wanted part of it on a sign, so I made a sign, which you can get on yesterday’s Stream of Consciousness entry.
The prompt this week was to write a post in 13 lines. My post was about a couple of YouTube channels I found that featured dead or dying shopping malls and other buildings. They made a real impression on me, so much so that part of Saturday’s post was about them. Abandoned buildings, failing businesses, and dying shopping malls are popular topic on YouTube. You’ll be hearing more about that later.
We visited KFWB in Los Angeles and shared their Top 10 from June 28, 1958.
The prompt was “four/fore/for” (not necessarily in that order), so my post included one of my favorite scenes from Caddyshack, the aforementioned sign (which at least four people wanted), and more babbling about abandoned and dying shopping malls. I’ll be on this kick for a while…
This week will probably be very similar to last week. It is, however, a holiday week, so who knows what will happen?

Now my friendโs post makes sense. She closed out the year yesterday. I thought she did so well she was ending her year early. Lol. I always learn something new here.

I don’t remember Terron – he’s terrifying! You had a great week – a very clever one at that. I can’t believe 1/2 the year is over already! Happy New 1/2 a year to you – I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!

Once again I caught some stuff that I had missed this week, just in case you were wondering if anybody pays attention. The Fairly Oddparents was a show I watched with my youngest. Pretty funny sometimes. Thanks for the recap.

I had heard about Fairly Oddparents, but since we have no kids we never watched it. I foiund that song quite by accident. And thanks for reading the summary!
