  1. Oh, good ones, John! I still hear “Working for the Weekend” by Loverboy on 97.1 – The River, and who could forget those red leather pants!

  2. Oh gosh that first song was played to death when I decided to go on this long walk with a bunch of other high school students. They brought a ghetto blaster and played this song over and over. I know your second song well and fits the theme but never heard of the last song. I can’t help but think of I will walk 500 Hundred Miles for a song for the weekend because I find it fun to listen to. As for summer, Beach Boys songs come to mind especially the last big hit they had …man I can’t remember the name of it. But one of the refrains says “Come on pretty mama.” As for the last one..Dolly Parton’s Working 9 to 5.

    1. 96 Rock here in Atlanta used to play “Workin’ For The Weekend” on Friday afternoons at 5. It’s one of those “anthem” type songs.

I’m not sure what Beach Boys song you mean, because they aren’t one of my favorite bands. I’m sure we’ll figure it out eventually.
