From what I’ve read, there were two waves to the British Invasion, one that started in ’64, the other in ’67. I just always thought it was one big invasion. And yes, the music was great.
I’m from Liverpool. I remember the ferry ‘cross the Mersey as a commuter ferry. Cost a few pennies to cross the river. At some point, they realised that it was a tourist destination and the price went up bigtime. I’m not sure any commuters use it any more.
Another one that I’ve heard before, but am not overly familiar with. It sounds like something my mother would have listened to in the 60s and 70s.
