An old Hal Roach joke, updated for today. For those who might not know what I’m talking about, Lowe’s and Home Depot are the current equivalent of the hardware store of old.
A man walks into Home Depot and asks someone in an orange apron, "How much are your snow shovels?"
"Twenty dollars," the employee replied.
"Twenty dollars! Lowe’s is selling them for twelve!"
"Well, why didn’t you buy one there?"
"They were out."
"Well, maybe when we’re out of them, we’ll sell them for twelve dollars, too."
“Okay, I’ll be back when you don’t have any.”

One-Liner Wednesday is brought to you each week by Linda Hill and this station. Now a word about Post Alpha-Bits cereal. There’s an adventure in every bowl of Alpha-Bits cereal!
Finally, I’m done with that commercial reel…

Lol. That’s hilarious 😆 I’ll be back when you’re sold out sounds like something I’d say before the light bulb goes off. I mean $8 bucks less is a bargain right?!?!? Hehe 😉

That’s funny, John. I was just in Home Depot (for something else) the gigantic display of snow shovels they had two weeks ago is gone. I guess the run up to the big storm did the trick.

Yep, that’ll do it, though if I had that much snow to deal with, I’d want a snow blower.

I remembered that joke yesterday, for some reason, and it just seemed like a good one for One-Liner Wednesday…

funny shovel joke – and the alphabets throwback was fun – that was a good idea for cereal – even though now I do not suggest folks eat cereal – sugar and grains and no bueno

Back in the ’60’s we loved those sugary cereals. Some of us even put sugar on them…

Same here – ha! The sugar on sugar cereal – forgot about that! And I can’t believe I thought treat was a hearty breakfast –

I know, they’d always show it as “part of a complete breakfast” with milk, orange juice, bacon, eggs, and toast.
