"Apache" was written by British composer Jerry Lordan and recorded in 1960 by The Shadows. It spent 5 weeks at #1 in the UK in 1960. The international hit was recorded in November 1960 by Danish guitarist Jørgen Ingmann. It peaked at #2 in the US (behind The Marcels’ "Blue Moon"), #1 in Canada, and #9 on the R&B chart.

Yes he did. In fact, I think they were called “Hank Marvin & The Shadows” at one time.

Yep, I found Hank Marvin is the lead guitarist for The Shadows and many references to Hank Marvin and The Shadows touring in 2020.

Did you notice if they were coming to the US on tour?

I hadn’t realised that there were several versions of this, thought it was just Hank Marvin’s.

Up until about 30 years ago I hadn’t heard of Hank Marvin or The Shadows. Seems weird.

I remember the Shadows version but not not this one by Jorgen.

It was the exact opposite for me. I didn’t hear The Shadows’ version until a couple of years ago. (YouTube is a tremendous service, isn’t it?)
