I don’t know if we’re actually doing One-Liner Wednesday today, it being Christmas and all (I’m writing this last Saturday, in case you’re wondering), but I wanted to share this more-than-one liner from the 1947 film The Bishop’s Wife, which starred Cary Grant, David Niven, Loretta Young, and Monty Woolley. It’s the final scene, when the bishop (played by Niven) is giving his Christmas sermon, which was written by the angel Dudley (played by Grant), though no one knows that except Dudley (and his Boss).
One-Liner Wednesday is brought to you each week by Linda Hill and this station. Now a word from Norelco. Even our name says "Merry Christmas!"
From all of us here at The Sound of One Hand Typing, Merry Christmas!
