It’s St. Patrick’s Day, so I figured I’d throw in a tune from my piping days. "Kelly, The Boy From Killane" commemorates John Kelly, a United Irish leader who fought in the Irish Rebellion in 1798. His whole story, along with the lyrics to this song, can be found on Wikipedia. Lá fhéile Pádraig sona dhaoibh!

I could listen to this stuff all day! The beauty of the Dubliners is that their catalog is just so vast, there are always new ones.

There are so many Irish folk songs, drinking songs, fighting songs etc. that they’ll probably never run out.
