Mary Burris over at Jingle Jangle Jungle told a very funny story the other day in her Monday’s Music Moves me post:
I’m Scottish, with a very Scottish maiden name. When my dad was younger, he was very much into genealogy. He learned that some of our ancestors came from Ireland, yet Grandpa Baird was very adamant that we are Scottish. So my dad very boldly asked him one day – ‘Grandpa, why do you insist that we are Scottish if some of our ancestors came from Ireland?’ and Grandpa Baird simply replied with
‘Just because a cat has her kittens in the oven, it doesn’t mean they are biscuits.’

One-Liner Wednesday is brought to you each week by Linda Hill and this station. Now here are Chico and Harpo Marx for Prom home permanent.
This is very funny and I need to use this one day

I saw this and wasn’t sure how many others had seen it. I got a big laugh out of it.

I loved the Marx Brothers

They were hilarious. I loved the way Groucho interacted with Margaret Dumont (who he swears never understood most of his jokes) and the way Harpo would tell Chico that something bad was happening. They were all accomplished musicians and the movies always gave them a chance to show off.
