“Lake Shore Drive” was the title track from Aliotta Haynes Jeremiah’s 1973 album. The song was released in 1972, and although it got a lot of airplay on FM radio in Chicago, it was never much of a hit. Still, former residents of the City of the Big Shoulders hear it and remember the road with a bit of wistfulness…
The video is nothing more than film from the windshield of a car driving along LSD (as it’s affectionately called) from its start at Hollywood Avenue in the Uptown neighborhood all the way south to where it meets up with Michigan Avenue. You’ll notice that the car stops there while traffic in the left-hand lanes continues. LSD curves to the left, then to the right and goes past all the museums, Soldier Field (where the Bears play) and beyond.
I don’t remember the song but the video brings back fond memories.

I don’t remember the song from the 70’s, but clearly someone else did.

I never heard this song but it’s nice. I like the player piano tone. The look of this video brings back fond memories of driving with my parents through Detroit to Ann Arbor to visit my Aunt and Uncle back in the 70s and early 80s
