BATTLE OF THE BANDS: “Call Me” Results

My last Battle pitted three songs named “Call Me” against each other, by Al Green, Blondie, and Chris Montez. The votes have been tallied and here are the results.

Blondie: 8

Chris Montez: 4

Al Green: 2

Congratulations to Blondie, and a pat on the back to Chris Montez and Al Green. This was actually a pretty close battle, when you think about it. If it had just been Blondie and either Chris Montez or Al Green, it would have been a more lopsided win. But you never know…

Anyway, next Battle is scheduled for next Monday, June 15. See you then!

  1. BLONDIE sucks!
(And every guy who ever met her, knows it. ;^)

But then, what do I know?

I’m that guy who keeps going everywhere WITHOUT wearing a face mask, and daring – DARING! – the dreaded Coronavirus to get me… and it NEVER has the guts to come out of hiding and face m(ask)e.

The day I don’t find myself in the minority, is the day I will voluntarily check myself in for psychiatric examination.

  2. I think you are right; with just Blondie and one of the others, the score would have been way more skewed. However, without Blondie, the vote may have been even closer. Like you said, you never know!

  3. Holy smoke, John, I missed your battle last time!! How on earth did I do that? I know I dropped by your place and I thought I voted for Blondie but I didn’t see my comment. Yikes, maybe I did something silly like came by, listened, and forgot to vote. I’ve done that more than once. I’m sorry if that’s what happened. Of course, had I voted I would’ve been on the winning ticket. 🙂

  4. Well, what about that! I liked them all, but I guess I’m old school at heart. Though now I guess these choices are all “old school’ in our day and age.
