Song of the Day: Ernie Isley, “Rising From The Ashes”

Ernie Isley is, of course, a member of the Isley Brothers, having joined them formally in 1973 on acoustic and electric guitars, drums and percussion. He’s written or co-written a few of their hits, including “It’s Your Thing,” “Fight The Power,” and “That Lady,” where his guitar figured prominently. He recorded a solo album, High Wire, in 1990, from which “Rising From The Ashes” is taken.
