This was one of Hall & Oates’s first singles when they were still at Atlantic Records. Released in 1973, it only climbed to #60. The success of “Sara Smile” encouraged the Powers That Be at RCA Records to give this another shot in 1976. The second time around, it reached #7 in both the US and Canada and #6 on the US Adult Contemporary chart. The sound on this is straight out of Philly.

Very good song as was most of their stuff in that time.

It was the style they had also…that Philly soul thing…it was great.

Great song. Of course I changed the “She” to “He.”

Great band. Great song. Great info. Thanks for making me sing at a title. 🙂

Sometimes you see a name and immediately you can remember the whole song without even listening to it. I like songs like that.

I didn’t know this song at first until the refrain. They had a lot more hits than I thought they did.
