All right! My last battle pitted three songs named “Gypsy Woman,” by Muddy Waters, The Impressions, and Ricky Nelson, against each other. Voting was light (only eight this time), but here are the results:

The Impressions: 1

Ricky Nelson: 3

Congratulations to Muddy Waters and a pat on the back to The Impressions and Ricky Nelson. I wonder what the scores would have been had I used Brian Hyland’s cover of The Impressions song?

    1. I didn’t think Muddy Waters would get anywhere the number of voters, let alone win. If I had used Brian Hyland’s cover of The Impressions, I’m sure it would have gotten many more votes, maybe even shut out the other two, which is why I didn’t use it.
