Share Your World For July 27, 2020

And we’re back! Melanie has given us four more questions to answer…

Are you a clean or messy person? Definitely messy. Always have been. Probably always will be.

If I asked you to describe yourself in five words – what would they be? Obese, crippled, tired, cranky hilarious, dyspeptic.

Do you enjoy being out in nature? If by “out in nature” you mean “out of the house,” then yes. Beyond that, probably no, although I like the crows.

What could you spend all day talking about? Nothing. Seriously, just start me talking and I’ll take you on a tour of the rabbit warren that is my mind.

See you in the funny papers!

  1. I love your answers especially the honest 5 word one. You made me smile with that and your last one. Let’s see…I am a bit messy. I leave things lying around which drives my hubby nuts because he is like Felix Unger. I love walking in nature and try when I can but it is few and far between. 5 words to describe myself….very sensitive, stubborn, compassionate, funny, too much pain. I love talking but I could runneth over when it has anything to do with film, actors, tv but also art, architecture and travel

  2. Your self-description doesn’t come across as very flattering, but you do have a sense of humor–maybe you should add that one in your description to give it some balance.

I keep myself clean, but I do tend to keep a lot of clutter around me. And every time I get organized, I almost immediately revert back to the clutter.

  3. Thanks John for Sharing Your World. You’re very honest to say you’re a messy person, not many (in fact not ANY so far) have admitted they are. It’s good to own that. I agree fully with Willowdot21 for her critique of your personal attributes. Besides who ISN’T cranky and dyspeptic under the rule of the Orange Dorfus? Nobody with a brain for sure. I like ‘wealth of experience, GOURMAND (and that’s a perfectly valid reason for a little poundage, we enjoy our food, nothing wrong with that), knowledgeable and lover of music. You forgot the music bit. I wish you’d spread your welcome of crows around. There are far too many here, plus the magpies and those damned birds NEVER SHUT UP. They poop a great deal too, mostly on my driveway and once on my window. I don’t know how a bird poops sideways, but they accomplished it. It was far too much poo to attribute to a wren or sparrow, so it HAD to be the crows or the magpies. I think you’d be fascinating to hold a conversation with!

    1. I’ll replace “cranky” with “hilarious,” then. How’s dat?

We don’t get magpies here, or ravens, just crows and blue jays (they’re also corvids). I also live near Sweat Mountain, and we have buzzards up there. There’s also a chicken hawk that lives in one of the trees behind us. One day it rained and we found him/her on the deck, just sitting out the rain. The thing was HUGE…

That’s a tad hard on yourself, I am hearing , wealth of experience and knowledge, love of music, disabled, tired but not of life , maybe a tad irritable but are we not all at times πŸ’œ

    1. Obese and crippled are not negotiable. Nor is dyspeptic (I inherited my grandmother’s and my father’s stomach, unfortunately). Tired and cranky, okay, maybe not….
