I had to read this a couple of times before I got it…
One-Liner Wednesday is brought to you each week by Linda Hill and this station. Now a word from the five ABC owned and operated stations across the country.
WBKB-TV in Chicago changed its call letters to WLS-TV on October 7, 1968; this commercial is from 1964. The last several ads were taken from a video of a midnight newscast on WBKB on August 15, 1964. The announcer on the Navy recruiting ad is Art Hillyer, who had just done the newscast. Watch the whole thing, if you get a chance.
It took me a minute too since 2020 already won 😐

Took a few minutes and more coffee but I got it!

It takes a minute sometimes. Sometimes longer. I had heard Bugs Bunny say “what a maroon!” for over 50 years without realizing he was calling someone a moron…

That’s so bad, it’s good. Anyway, I smiled, so it worked.

If you make your own crackers (I have no idea what it would take), there’s one for you….
