The band Sade (shah-day) was formed in London in 1982. Named for its singer, Sade Adu, they’ve been quite popular among fans of smooth jazz, soul, and sophisti-pop. Released in 1985 as the lead single from their second album, 1985’s Promise, "The Sweetest Taboo" reached #5 on the Hot 100, #3 on the R&B chart, and #1 on the Adult Contemporary chart. This is from a 2011 live performance.
She is beautiful, sensual and has a voice to match. My hubby loves her and has many of her CDs

What can I add to that?

Not in my wheelhouse but she has a hell of a smooth voice…I’ve heard some of her other music.

I don’t think I dislike any of her material. Tremendous voice and a very beautiful woman.

She IS both of those.

That’s the year we saw her. Great concert, except she started so late we had to leave before the encore so we didn’t miss our BART train going home. That was a bummer, especially because she rarely tours.

Punctuality was never exactly Sade’s forte, as I remember it.

they used to play her in all the wine bars. Felt very sexy and sophisticated.
