Huey Lewis & The News really hit it big with their third album, 1983’s Sports, which shot to the top of Billboard‘s Hot 200 Albums chart and earned Gold status in the UK, Diamond status in Canada, and 7 times Platinum status in the US. "I Want A New Drug" was the second single from the album, which reached #6 on the Hot 100, #7 on the Adult Contemporary chart, #1 on the Dance chart, and #6 in Canada, earning Gold records in both countries.
Huey sure paid his dues in the 70s…he worked hard for his success.

Great blues harp player…I read where he traveled around Europe playing.

He worked with Thin Lizzy and was on their live album. He’s a very good harmonica player.

I didn’t know about Thin Lizzy…that is an odd pairing

I understand he has Meniere’s disease and has had to retire, so you were lucky to catch him.

I danced to this often and will still dance away if my hips allow it. I was always wondering why a vampire shows up in this video

So people will ask why there’s a vampire in the video?

Fun to see San Francisco. He looks so young!

I heard he’s retired now. Apparently he has Meniere’s disease (which one of my cats had), which causes hearing loss and gives you problems with your balance. He’s only 70, so he’s still pretty young…

I alwys liked his music. It’s straight-ahead rock and, like you say, easy to dance to.

I never saw him live, but rented a video once upon a time (obviously not this century) of them in concert. They look like they put on a good show.

I had one of theirs back in the day. I can’t remember which one now, but I listened to it a lot.

My guess is that it was either Sports or Fore! if by back in the day you mean the ’80’s. Great albums.

Fore sounds familiar. I can remember my favourite track – Stuck With You.

“Stuck On You” was on Fore!, so that must have been it.
