Monday’s Music Moves Me: Autumnal Equinox

I’ll be honest: I had a hard time getting it into gear over the weekend. I spent most of the day yesterday trying to put together an appropriate playlist for today, and I couldn’t. It just wasn’t coming to me. I finally said "aah, I’ll just do it in the morning."

I’m glad I did, because I found some great music this morning, starting with maybe the best laugh I’ve had in weeks…

Then, I found this one-hour playlist put together by YouTube user Jake Westbrook of "vintage fall/autumn music."

And a second, "jazzy" playlist from YouTuber lyon, who looks like they have several others besides this. Check out their user page. This is about 22 minutes.

One more, because there are a bunch out there, this one by Odessa Hott, that’s also about 22 minutes. She also set up her playlist on Spotify, but regrets that the second song on the video isn’t available there.

So, that should give you enough music to keep busy for a while. That’s Monday’s Music Moves Me for September 21, 2020.

Monday’s Music Moves Me is sponsored by Cathy, Alana, and Stacy, so be sure and visit them, where you can also find the Linky for the other participants.

  1. John,

Sometimes it’s hard to get into the groove to know what mewsic to share but you came up with a great mix. I’m trying to play catch up this morning but I will keep your post open so I can pop back and forth this morning to listen to your playlists. I love it when all I have to do is hit play to hear a string of songs one after another for my enjoyment. Thanks for joining the 4M crew on the dance floor this week. I know it’s not bundle up weather yet but this morning it’s definitely a little too cool for my toes. Have a boogietastic week, my friend!

    1. I found the first collection and the more I listened, the more I realized that it was the kind of playlist I’d put together. I felt the same way about the other two: I enjoyed hearing them so much, I decided to add them. The first video, with the phrase from “The Girl From Ipanema” repeated ad nauseum, had me rolling on the floor…

  2. Your first set of tunes were beautiful I have to admit. Rosemery Clooney, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole are not hard to spot and oh so beautiful as beautiful as the songs. I wish I could sit here and listen to every single one. Frank Sinatra has so many of these for sure. Don’t cha just love autumn time? I do, it’s soooooooooo pretty. Thank you for hunting these down.
