Love Unlimited were three women, Glodean James, her sister Linda, and their cousin Diane Taylor. As the name suggests, they were backup singers to Barry White (Glodean married him in 1974, they separated in 1988 but never divorced). "Walkin’ In The Rain With The One I Love" features Barry in a short speaking part on the record, but it’s the vocals and the lush background music that made this one so popular, reaching #14 in the US and the UK as well as #6 on the US R&B chart.
