I’ve talked about the Apple-U2 incident from 2014 several times here, and talked about it four years go here (follow the link). I saw this the other day and it brought the whole thing back…

One-Liner Wednesday is brought to you by Linda Hill and this station. Now a word about Lucky Strike cigarettes. Taste fine tobacco at its best!
I had an iPod at the time. Now that album is still on my iPhone. It grows on you. We’ll sort of. Raised by wolves is a good song to walk to.

Grows on you kind of like mold? 🤣

Poor U2 who never thought they would be included in this type of theory. I like them and have a couple of their CDs.

I blame them less than I blame Apple.

I got that download and actually didn’t know what the big hullabaloo was all about. I actually liked a bunch of the songs and I’m not generally a U2 fan.

I think the issue was for people who had automatic download enabled on their phone. They’d run short on space and research why, see the album there, and delete it, only to have it download itself again because it was in their library on the cloud. It’s a little thing, but annoying as hell…
