David Ruffin of the Motown group The Temptations would 80 years old today. "My Girl" was written by Smokey Robinson and Ronald White and released by The Temptations in December 1964. It became their first #1 hit on both the R&B chart and the Hot 100 in 1965, and is their signature tune.
Love this song even though I canโt play it here.

Hey, I tried…. there are a bunch on YouTube, so you might get one of them to work…

I love the Temptations. I had a couple of copies of their greatest hits. I wore both out on cassette. They are the best band to listen to going through a break up…with the exception of this one.

Hmmm, my comments don’t seem to be showing on your blog at the moment (have commented on a few recently and only just realised!). Trying again now…
This video is unavailable in Oz, but I don’t need it because I know the song and love it ๐

For some reason, Akismet was tosing them in the spam bucket. I found one in there a while ago and approved it, and that might fix the spam filter. No idea why that happens; just takes a notion sometimes.

I have this as the ring tone on my phone for my youngest. Great tune.

It’s pretty much their signature tune, and it’s not hard to undestand why.
