Saw the above prompt for this week and thought immediately of this…
I do know that I wouldn’t be as happy as the Saturday baby if I had to go to work, particularly after a week of work like the one depicted above…
Monday was not my favorite day, but it was really no different from any other day of the week work-wise. I know Monday always has the reputation of being a real rough day, but I could just as easily have a good day on Monday and a lousy one on Tuesday, and I have. Days when it was snowing were the worst, or winter days when the wind would blow in whatever direction I seemed to be going.
Being retired has changed this somewhat, mostly because now every day seems to blend into all the others. Mary and I take turns asking each other "what’s today? Wednesday?"

Christine at Stine Writing runs Simply 6 Minutes.
What a good song even though, I am flaking out. I am working so I know each of the weekdays. Hell, I woke up and noticed it was lighter outside. I looked at the alarm clock, noticed it was 7:30and was late for work. I got up, brushed my teeth and hair, and came back down to quickly eat. I finally sat down and turned on the news just to see that it was Sunday!

I’ve never done that, but I’ve forgotten to change my clocks for Daylight Saving Time and showed up an hour early…

Thats a great song! Thanks for the contribution and for participating. Mondays always seem to bring the mood down.

Yes they do. Perfect for a blue Monday jam (blues clubs in Chicago used to have them to celebrate the end of the finished Monday).

David and I always talk about wanting to find a real blues club!

Monday’s were always the worst because I was the first one in the office, so I got to discover anything that had gone wrong over the weekend (including a leaking ice-maker water supply line) and then people who had been traveling the week before would start bringing their problems in .

Probably why everyone dreads them so…
