Bill Bixby, who starred in My Favorite Martian, The Courtship Of Eddie’s Father, and most notably as Dr. David Banner in The Incredible Hulk, would be 87 today. Th closing theme of the show, "The Lonely Man," was written by Jow Harnell and played by famed Nashville pianist Floyd Cramer.
Beautiful. Thanks for the share. Bill Bixby was always a favorite actor of mine 🙂

Mine too. He’d pop up practically anywhere and was always good. Fine director, too.

This theme makes you think and feel… everytime I heard it I want to throw my jacket over my shoulder and start walking.

I know. That’s kind of what happened whenever the theme started playing…

Not what you’d expect for “The Incredible Hulk,” is it? And yet, thoroughly appropriate.

I forgot about this song from this tv show which I watched all the time. I love Bill Bixby and was so sad when he passed away.

Bill Bixby was one of those actors who always seemed to be working. Every time you’d turn around, he’d be in something. We were watching TV one night and saw him in a religious dramatic show, the kind TV stations would show before signoff. By then he’d been in “My Favorite Martian” and may have still been in “The Courtship of Eddie’s Father,” so it was kind of a surprise. He also turned up on an episode of Andy Griffith. There are some actors who always seem to be working, and he was one of them.

John,
I had forgotten what a beautiful theme song The Incredible Hulk used for the show. This is so fantastic!
