I saw this the other day and it reminded me that, 43 years and two weeks ago tomorrow, I graduated with my BBA from Loyola. (Tomorrow Mary and I will be married 43 years.) I talked about that graduation a couple of years ago. While we didn’t sit outside (it was the middle of a typical Chicago winter, though the snow (and lots of it) came a couple of weeks later), the cap and gown fit about as well as a shower curtain, and even though it was midyear graduation, there were a lot of names read.

One-Liner Wednesday is brought to you each week by Linda Hill and this station. Since it’s January, it’s also today’s Just Jot It January entry, also sponsored by Linda.

Now a word about Winston cigarettes. Winston tastes good, like a cigarette should!
I got a chuckle from that quote!

I especially liked the thing about the shower curtain, which is just about how the rental gowns fit.

Congratulations and Happy Anniversary to you and Mary. That is a good long time so I know there is much to celebrate.

Mary reminded me that the 43rd is the yarn anniversary. We don’t think of it as a marriage, more like a fight to the death…
Seriously, thanks!

That quote is perfect and so true. Ours was inside but sitting on bleachers( I watched my class get their degree but I didn’t want all the eyes on me when I had my turn to go up so I watched from afar) hurt my butt plus it got so hot. The cig. Commercial is just sad because nothing says romance than getting rained on, lighting a cig and kissing the smelly mouth.
