Song of the Day: George Beverly Shea, “How Great Thou Art”

George Beverly Shea, gospel singer and longtime associate of Billy Graham, would be 112 years old today. He lived to the ripe old age of 104 and is estimated to have sung live in front of more people than anyone else in history. He’s best known for his rendition of "How Great Thou Art," Stuart K. Hine’s translation of the Swedish hymn "O Store Gud" written by Carl Boberg in 1886. Geoge could really rattle the windows with this one.

  1. Never heard of him but love his voice. We do this one on Sunday at times…of course.
