Jazz and blues singer, songwriter, guitarist, and violinist Lonnie Johnson would be 123 years old today. His single-note solos on 6 and 12-string guitar influenced guitar players such as Charlie Christian and Django Reinhardt, and is the first person to play an amplified (electric) violin. "Too Late To Cry" was recorded later in his career.
Very cool! I like his sound.

I knew of him, but hadn’t really heard much of his music. He had a huge impact on jazz and blues, and by extension rock.

This is a nice to listen to and he has a different voice for the blues but I like it.

He had a more trained voice than a lot of blues singers.
