
Jazz and R&B pianist and organist Bill Doggett would be 105 years old today. Over the years, he worked with The Ink Spots, Ella Fitzgerald, Johnny Otis, Wynonie Harris, and Louis Jordan. His composition "Honky Tonk (Parts 1 & 2)" reached #2 on the Hot 100 and #1 on the R&B chart in 1956.
I could see a group of kids do the shuffle to this. It’s quite cool.
