Song of the Day: Doc Watson, “Windy & Warm”

Arthel "Doc" Watson" was born on this day in 1923. He was a guitarist, singer and composer who played bluegrass, folk, blues, country, and gospel music. He played both with a flatpick and fingerstyle and was excellent at both. "Windy & Warm" was written by John D. Loudermilk and is a standard of fingerstyle guitar.

    1. Are you familiar with Tommy Emmanuel? He’s Australian (Brisbane, I think) who’s one of the best fingerstyle guitarists I’ve ever heard. Here’s a video of him playing it:
