This edition of The Week That Was is brought to you by Gunther beer. The happiest taste in beer today!
I forgot how exhausting this A to Z Challenge can be, and I haven’t even been that busy. Or maybe I’m just tired is all. Whatever the case, this is the final week of the A to Z Challenge, and I’m way behind in my commenting and visiting, so I’m sorry if I haven’t gotten to you just yet.
Not much else to say, so let’s get on with the recap…
- (Song Lyric) Sunday: “Stella By Starlight”
- Monday: Little Richard, “The Girl Can’t Help It”
- Tuesday: Tito Puente, “Oye Como Va”
- Wednesday: Paul Davis, “Cool Night”
- Thursday: Glen Campbell, “Gentle On My Mind”
- Friday: Shirley Temple, “Animal Crackers In My Soup”
- Saturday: Kenny Loggins, “I’m Alright”
Questions were about which TV show I last "binge watched," what my most prized possession was, what I’d volunteer to do, and whether I thought people will ever be able to live in "harmony."
I asked a question about when "the curve" will be "flattened," and no, I wasn’t asking about that one…
Kat asked about my five favorite desserts, a question I had no trouble answering.
The prompt was a word with an -oop in it somewhere, and after the obligatory nod to the comic strip Alley Oop, I wrote about Bobby Troup, who wrote the song "Route 66," and finally shared one of my favorite Rodney Dangerfield moments from Caddyshack. And, of course, a beer commercial with a kangaroo.
The A to Z Challenge concludes with letters V through Z, and I’ll also be writing the W entry on the Challenge blog this week. Other than that, everything is more-or-less status quo.
