  1. OMG! I LOVE Dave Allen!! We watched his show back in the 1980s, I think and my mom was in love with the man with a shorter finger :) I loved his skits and my mom loved his quips while sitting on that chair. He is one very funny, funny man. I should watch some of his shows. That beer commercial is a hoot with some great music at the beginning. You know what?….Last night I had a dream about these old fashioned beer commercials and Frazier and Niles were in the ad smoking cigars! (please no Freud talk :)) I have been watching all the seasons of Frazier(on the 9th season). The ad was weird which is typical of my dreams.

    1. COZI TV in the US runs Frasier most weeknights. For a while they were showing 4 episodes a night. I think we saw them all.

      Dave Allen was funny about the short finger. He was talking about horror movies one night, held up his hand and said “The Curse of the Four and a Half Fingers!” Another time he claimed he kept sticking his finger in his drink and it just dissolved…

    1. Mary and I did, too. He was funny without getting too off-color, told a lot of great Catholic jokes, and the sketches were funny. Sunday nights on channel 11 in Chicago were Monty Python, Dave Allen, The Two Ronnies, and Doctor Who. I’d be bleary-eyed walking into work on Monday, but I had fun…
