Songwriter and composer Frank Loesser, who wrote the musicals Guys & Dolls and How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, was born on this day in 1910. When Kip was in high school, he had a minor role in a production of How To Succeed…, that of Mr. Twimble, and sang this song. A friend of mine called one evening to tell me she had dropped out of college and guilted me into going to see it with her. I’m glad she did: Kip did a great job.
I love that show.

This is one movie I still have not seen! There are some gems I have always missed and this is one of them. I loved this tune and think the guy who works for 25 yrs is aok in my books. you don’t need to be a type A and always want to get ahead…why is that considered a success when working, never missing a day, doing your job well and enjoying it considered less?

One of my favorite musicals! Saw it on Broadway with Daniel Radcliffe and John Laroquette. But nothing beats the original.
