Song of the Day: John Denver, “Leaving On A Jet Plane”

On this day in 1916, in Seattle, Washington, William Boeing and George Conrad Westervelt incorporated Pacific Aero Products (later renamed Boeing). Boeing built the first commercial jet in the United States, the 707 in 1958. So, to celebrate, here is John Denver with his song "Leaving On A Jet Plane."

  1. I know this song more by Peter Paul and Mary but it’s great no matter who sings it. It takes me back to childhood instantly.

  2. I love John Denver. I had three of his albums in the 70s. Recently three of my four adultrens separately let me know of their latest discovery of this guy John Denver. It’s funny when that happens.
Just like when #3 discovered the Beatles in the 90s. 😁
