
Jim Kale, original bassist for The Guess Who, was born on this day in 1943. He joined Chad Allen & The Reflections in 1962, which became The Guess Who, and stayed with them until 1972. He co-wrote "American Woman," The Guess Who’s best-known song, which reached #1 in both the US and Canada in 1970.
