
Legendary Hawaiian singer Don Ho was born on this day in 1930. He’s best known for the song "Tiny Bubbles," which was written by Leon Pober and was the title track for his 1967 debut album. The song reached #57 on the Hot 100 and #15 on the Easy Listening chart.
I remember watching him on PBS while at my grandmothers as a child.

It’s really the only hit he had. He had a recurring gig at the Hilton Hawaiian Vilage in Waikiki, as did Charo. I had a choice and went to see Charo, and was not disappointed. Had I had another night, I would have seen Don….

I don’t believe they released the single in the UK, so about the only way you’d have heard it is if you had been in Hawaii.
