Song of the Day: Johnny Preston, “Running Bear”

Pop and Rockabilly singer Johnny Preston was born on this day in 1939 (he died in 2011). Discovered by J. P. Richardson (also known as "The Big Bopper"), Johnny recorded one of Richardson’s songs, "Running Bear," in 1959. It was a #1 hit in the US and the UK in 1960. Preston is a member of the Rockabilly Hall of Fame.
