Song of the Day: Johnny Nash, “I Can See Clearly Now”

Reggae and pop singer Johnny Nash was born on this day in 1940. Before releasing his 1972 hit record "I Can See Clearly Now," he sang the theme song for the cartoon The Mighty Hercules, and had a hit with 1968’s "Hold Me Tight", which reached #5 in the US. "I Can See Clearly Now" reached #1 in the US and Canada and earned a Gold record.

  1. I used to love this song and always loved hearing it when I felt I’d gotten direction and focus in my life–synchronistically. Now I wonder if I’ll ever “see clearly now” again.

  2. Thanks John – I knew the song … but not the man – so I enjoyed reading up on him. I enjoyed listening to it again – cheers Hilary
