Song of the Day: Rick Springfield, “Don’t Talk To Strangers”

Australian-American actor and singer Rick Springfield celebrates his 72nd birthday today. He had guest starring roles on many of the more popular TV shows in the late ’70’s and ’80’s, including Wonder Woman, The Six Million Dollar Man, The Incredible Hulk, and Battlestar Galactica and had signed on to play Dr. Noah Drake on the soap opera General Hospital, a role he took not knowing that his 1981 album Working Class Hero and its first single, "Jessie’s Girl," would be such a big hit. "Don’t Talk To Strangers" was on his next album, 1982’s Success Hasn’t Spoiled Me Yet, and reached #2 in the US and #3 in Canada.
