Bass player Tim Bogert, a founding member of Vanilla Fudge, Cactus, and Beck, Bogert & Appice, was born on this day in 1944. "Superstition" is the Stevie Wonder song that they had intended om using as their first single, but Stevie beat them to it. It was on their self-titled 1973 album.
I wish more people would use the talk box…it fits perfect in this.

Beck used it on “She’s A Woman” from “Blow By Blow” as well. But really, aside from him and Peter Frampton, I don’t know who else does. Must look into it…

Joe Walsh used it also in the early days…. I think he showed Frampton but I could be wrong.

Looking at the article on Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk_box), David Gilmour, Stevie Wonder, and Walter Becker are others. There aren’t that many, surprisingly…

John, I have looked up on how to make one just for the hell of it. I think 20 bucks would make one… it would be a fun project.
I would like to play with one.

It’s a good one. I almost like it better than Stevie’s.

He used it again on his version of “She’s A Woman,” on his Blow By Blow album. I’m pretty sure he’s ued it since…
