Dave Bargeron, who played trombone and tuba for Blood Sweat & Tears in the 1970’s, was born on this day in 1942. In addition to his work with BS&T, he played with Billy Joel, Mick Jagger, Carla Bley, Pst Metheny, Doc Severinsen, Gil Evans, and others. He has an extended tuba solo in "And When I Die/One oom Country Shack," from BS&T’s 1975 album Live And Improvised.
Just sit back today, well, while working, and listening to the great sound of this band.

That band’s been going for over 50 years and has none of its original members, but they still sound good.
