  1. The story goes Bill wasn’t all that happy with Elvis’s “Blue Moon Of Kentucky’- until the royalty checks started coming in– then when he saw Elvis he told him he could do any of his songs that he would like. Smart man. … My dad’s favorite recording artist- Bill Monroe.

    1. I have bad memories of “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.” Not so much of the movie itself, but of the circumstances that we saw it. We saw it at Mom’s house with my brother and stepfather. They had seen it about 3,000 times before we did, and the three of them started telling me what was going to happen about one or two beats before it happened. As a result, a movie I would have and should have enjoyed put me in a foul mood…

  4. It’s not a song I would love to listen to over and over but I have a fondness for it because it is in the film, “Planes, Trains and Automobiles.”
