Song of the Day: Bachman-Turner Overdrive, “Let It Ride”

Guitarist Randy Bachman, who played with The Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive in the ’60’s and ’70’s, was born on this day in 1943. He’s also spent time with Brave Belt, Ironhorse, Union, and has done albums with Burton Cummings and Fred Turner. "Let It Ride" was written by Bachman and Turner and appears on their 1973 album Bachman-Turner Overdrive II. It reached #3 in Canada and #23 in the US in 1974.

  1. I love this song and most of their stuff… the only one that is hard for me to sit through is TCB because I’ve heard it so much…and every bar band has played it at least a 1000 times.

  2. That’s one of those songs that aired frequently, but not one I felt inclined to purchase. I think I had one BTO album with this song on it.
