Song of the Day: Sam & Dave, “Hold On, I’m Coming”

Happy birthday to soul legend Sam Moore, who turns 86 today. He and Dave Prater, as Sam and Dave, had six top 10 hits on the R&B chart and two on the Hot 100 over a period from 1961 to 1981. John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd copied many of their moves for The Blues Brothers. "Hold On, I’m Coming" was their first #1 hit on the R&B chart as well as reaching #21 on the Hot 100 in 1966. This is from a Stax and Volt Tour from 1966, where they’re backed by Booker T. & The M.G.’s and The Memphis Horns. Sam is the shorter of the two.
