Song of the Day: Nana Mouskouri, “Song For Liberty”

Greek chanteuse extraordinaire Ioanna "Nana" Mouskouri was born on this day in 1934, and shows no signs of letting up. She’s released over 200 albums in 12 different languages (Greek, French, English, German, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Hebrew, Welsh, Mandarin, and Corsican). "Song For Liberty" is the English translation for the French "Je chante avec toi Liberté," which was written by Pierre Delancé and Claude Lemesle and arranged by Alain Goraguer. She recorded it in five different languages (French, English, German, Spanish, and Portuguese) in 1981, and it has become her biggest hit.
